Previous Program Pieces Programming•Multicultural Holiday Festivals - events that incorporate educational components for children on Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Muslim holidays. •Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Programs - events that celebrate the unique contributions of Dr. King, bringing people together across a variety of what are commonly perceived as divides. •Passover Freedom Seder - events that commemorate the movements from slavery to freedom of the Israelites in biblical times, as well as that of African Americans in the 19th century. •Clergy Conferences - events that bring clergy from across religions together to engage in dialogue. •Teen programs - events where teens from the cities and suburbs, of different races, ethnicities and religious backgrounds engage in dialogue: debates and group discussions. •The Coalition distributed throughout our community thousands of pamphlets entitled “Giving Thanks”, a compilation of famous quotations by different people who describe their visions of the greatness of The United States. “Giving Thanks” is suggested reading at the Thanksgiving table, when we stop to reflect upon our blessings. |
